Meet the Program Coordinators
Amber Abunassar
Amber comes to Bechtel from the study abroad nonprofit CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), where she served as an Enrollment Coordinator for High School Summer Abroad programs, supporting more than 5,000 American high school students studying in over 30 destinations worldwide.Originally from Western North Carolina, she earned her BA from the University of North Carolina at Asheville as a double major in Spanish and Mass Communication. After graduating, she moved abroad to Mallorca, Spain, where she taught English for three years, and also spent a summer working in Italy during her time in Europe. Amber has visited 30 countries and speaks Spanish, Catalan, and Italian. She loves connecting with people from around the world and building welcoming communities. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crocheting, thrifting, board games, discovering new cafés, and baking.
Fun fact: Amber enjoys aviation and is currently learning how to become a pilot!
