Eligibility requirements: 
  • Admission to Cambridge through the University's normal academic procedures.
  • Not already enrolled at Cambridge unless applying for funding to a higher degree course post-graduation
  • Significant academic achievement and potential (undergraduate part-cost).
  • Financial need (undergraduate part-cost).


Application Process: 


There is no campus process for this award, however the ORC can assist with the application.

The deadline for undergraduate applicants for 2020 study is October 15, 2019. If you are applying for undergraduate study but are from China, Malaysia, or Singapore, however, the deadline is September 20.

If you are applying for graduate study, please check and apply by the specific course deadline.  There will be two general course deadlines of 3 December 2019 and 7 January 2020.

Applicants will be notified between March and July if they have been awarded a scholarship.

Should I apply?

Application to the Trust directly is unnecessary as an application can be completed simultaneously with your application for admission to the University.

The Cambridge Commonwealth, European, & International Trust, established August 2013, was founded with the intent to provide financial support for international degree-seeking students at Cambridge. Since its inception, the Trust has awarded nearly 18,000 scholarships to international students wishing to pursue undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level degrees in all subjects and at all 31 Colleges of the University of Cambridge.
