I-94 Check-In

Instructions for the I-94 Check-In Process for New Students

You are required to submit the “I-94 Check-In” request as soon as you arrive on campus and before orientation begins. Please follow the instructions below to complete your check-in.

Important Note: If you are not in F-1 or J-1 status, you cannot study at Stanford. Contact us IMMEDIATELY.

Step 1

Please download your most recent I-94 arrival record by visiting this DHS website and selecting Get Most Recent I-94/95 tab.

Step 2

Please log into Bechtel Connect.

Step 3

Go to your My Student Home tab.

Step 4

Click I-94 Check-In request.

Step 5

Complete the I-94 Check-in Request and submit it.

• Please review your I-94 information first and ensure that you answer the questions exactly as they appear on your I-94 record. If your Class of Admission is not updated to F-1 or J-1, please contact the Bechtel International Center immediately at internationalstudents@stanford.edu.
