Part 1 of this OPT application workshop was for students who are graduating the Summer 2022 quarter with a degree conferral of September 29, 2022. Part 1 focuses on making the endorsement request in Bechtel Connect, the online I-765, and the USCIS application packet. June 21st is the earliest Summer 2022 graduates can request a Post OPT endorsed I-20 in Bechtel Connect.
Part 2 is for students who have completed the application packet and will focus on reviewing your application as well answering application questions in a group format. Part 2 will not be recorded. July 1st is the earliest that Summer 2022 graduates can submit an OPT application to USCIS.
This quarterly session covers how to remain compliant with F-1 rules and regulations while on Post-OPT. Topics include using the SEVP Portal to report employment and address changes, travel while on OPT, renewing visa, applying for the STEM Extension, and more. There will also be a Q&A at the end of the session for you to ask your questions.
