Students may work "on campus" up to 20 hours per week when school is in session and full-time (more than 20 hours a week) during holiday and vacation periods. A student's combined hours of on- and off-campus employment must not exceed 20 hours per week during the academic quarter. It is very important that international students follow immigration regulations when engaging in employment.
- Important immigration updates for Departments (PDF version)
- Make sure your international students are aware of the nature of their Assistantships from your Department and know the difference between Fellowships and Assistantships
- Provide updates on funding at the beginning of each quarter
- Remind your international students about the 20 hour limit
